List of Selective and Agricultural High Schools NSW

From 2010 there are 17 fully selective high schools, 23 high schools with selective classes (partially selective), and 4 agricultural high schools offering selective placement in Year 7. Partially selective high schools have both selective and community classes. Agricultural high schools are selective high schools that emphasise the study of agriculture, with the boarding sections giving some priority to isolated students.

Select Entry Accelerated Learning Program (SEAL)

There are currently 34 government schools in Victoria offering the Select Entry Accelerated Learning Program (SEAL), and these are listed below with website links.  Students usually complete Years 7-10 in 3 years.  The year gained can be utilised to undertake VCE extension studies, or to enter university a year early. 

Entrance exams are held early in the year prior to entry.  Applications must be made with individual schools.

Two New Select Schools for Outer Growth Corridors

April 2008     The Victorian Government will invest $40 million to establish two new selective entry schools in Victoria’s outer growth corridors, providing greater opportunities and choice for students in regional and outer suburban areas.

 

The Premier John Brumby announced that Victoria’s two new co-educational selective entry government schools would be established at Berwick, adjacent to Monash University, and at Wyndham Vale in the outer west.
