New Literacy and Numeracy Strategy for Territory Schools

July 2010     A new literacy and numeracy strategy was released today to help boost education outcomes for Territory students.  Department of Education and Training Chief Executive, Gary Barnes, said Prioritising Literacy and Numeracy: A strategy to improve literacy and numeracy outcomes 2010-2012 was developed in consultation with DET’s new Literacy and Numeracy Taskforce.

QLD Government Releases Year 12 Results Data

June 2010     The most comprehensive report on the achievements of Queensland’s 2009 Year 12 students has been published on the Queensland Studies Authority (QSA) website.  Education and Training Minister Geoff Wilson said this year’s report was the most detailed ever, giving a further breakdown of OPs (Overall Positions) and vocational education and training (VET) qualifications.
