NAPLAN Information and Results

The NAPLAN ( National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy) tests all students in Australia in Years 3,5,7,9 on all aspects of literacy and numeracy, comprising: Reading, Writing, Language Conventions (Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation) and Numeracy. 

 

The NAPLAN tests for 2012 will be held from 15-17 May.

Parents with questions about NAPLAN should contact their school in the first instance or the local Test Administration Authority if the school is unable to assist.  Contact details for Test Administration Authorities are available at www.nap.edu.au.

 

NAPLAN results for Reading, Writing, Spelling, Grammar and Numeracy are available by: state and territory, sex, inigenous status, LBOTE status, geolocation, parental education, and parental occupation.  You can check your child's results against these indicators, and also determine percentile rankings in each subject.

The MySchool website publishes NAPLAN data and other contextual information about schools, and compares them with statistically similar schools.  The website also shows school improvement in the tests over time.
